Knights Ferry - September 2007 - On Labor Day, to escape the heat, Barb and I took the girls up to Knights Ferry and played in the water, and to hike around the area. It was a good long day in the heat, everyone got a little burned and afterwards we stopped for pizza and ice cream.
Color the Skies - September 2007 - On September 1st we drove up to Ripon (makes it sound like it's a long drive) and watched them launch a bunch of balloons in the morning. They even had some crazy guy on a lawn chair with a bunch of balloons tied to it. It looks like he's done it before though, still crazy though.
California State Fair - August 2007 - We ditched work one day and met up with Barb's Mom and Step-dad, and her Aunt and Uncle and spent the day at the State Fair. Besides being over 100 degrees, we had a really good time. We ate deep fried twinkies. After spending most of the day in the sun we finally rode the log ride and cooled down.
Gilroy Gardens - August 2007 - The Gilroy Chamber of Commerce was so pleased with the work we did for them at Compass Maps that they sent some tickets to Gilroy Gardens our way, and I was a lucky reciepient of four of them. So on Sunday Barb and I took the girls there for the day. We all had a great time, I got a little red for it, but it was a small price to pay.
ComicCon - July 2007 - Well we made it, and everyone had fun. Rob bought a light saber, which I still need pictures of, I got a commission from Tim Sale, the best comic book artist in the world (which you can see on the comics page). Geoffrey got to meet his favorite artist, Bruce Timm, and Robert Jr. just had a blast.
The
Barn - July 2007 - Amanda
and her husband Jesse has moved out to the
country working for a livestock auction. Jesse,
works for them and they provide a place to
stay, plus a place to keep his horses. Well
with all the different animals, Amanda invited
the girls up to see them all. Well, here is
the results...
Timi Louise Malaluan Craig - Born July 7, 2007 at 7:07am, get it? 7-7-07 @ 7:07, that's one lucky baby. Of course it's lucky, it was born to Gloria, with a little bit of Jim in her, shouldn't mess her up to much.
Pinecrest Lake, 4th of July Weekend - July 2007 -
On Saturday we went to a family cabin at
Pinecrest Lake and swam in the lake and hiked
around. In the evening we watched "Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer" under
the stars. The Cabin was built many years
ago, and it doesn't do a very good job of
keeping bugs out, but it beats sleeping on
the ground. In the morning we found a frog
in the shower. The frog now stays on the
kitchen counter in its own little home.
4th of July - July 2007 - So while Rob is busy building his bike and taking it to Holister, Barb and I took the girls up to their cousins in Elk Grove for the 4th where they went swimming and we watched fireworks in the street, purchased from a local fireworks stand.
Rob's
Harley Build - July 2007 -
O.K. so we're a little backwards, we've
posted some pics of Rob's weekend on his
ride, but how did we get here? Rob picked
up the bike from Tim seven weeks ago. He
spend two weeks dreaming up what he wanted
to do, and they five weeks to get to Hollister.
Well click on the link above and see the
transformation of his Harley.
Rob's
Weekend - July 2007 - Rob
got his bike going, barely, in time for
his first run, Hollister, and here are
a few pictures from the run. He did say
his bike was quite popular there, with
a lot of people stopping to take pictures.
I'm sure this makes Tim feel real good, oh
well.
Memorial
Day Weekend - Manhattan Beach, Disneyland - Barb and I took the
girls down south for the weekend where we met
up with her sister Chris, her husband Mike
and their two girls, Annika and Kyra where
we spent time on the beach, plus a couple of
days running around the two parks. We really
had a great time, the girls had a great time
and we were all exhausted by the time it was
all said and done.
Macro

It was a close race with just 4 points
seperating the top 3 photos. 1st Place
is "Don't
Squash Me" by me, Steve Craig, 2nd Place
was "Keep an Eye Out for Me" by
Mark Keach, and 3rd Place is "Spicket
Lady Bug" by Tommy Alberta. Congratulations

I've also added to the end of the lot of
9, two photos I considered using, but in
the end chose not to.
Blowin' Stuff Up - Went to LA for the weekend
to visit Jeff, and we went shooting on Sunday.
Must say I'm getting quite comfortable with
dads magnum. Anyways, Jeff had been saving
plastic milk jugs for 6 months, he had about
40 of them. So we took them out to the desert
filled with water and had some fun with his
shot-gun. The following is not for the faint
of heart (just kidding).
Amanda's Wedding
Snow Day - Sometime in the beginning of January Barb
and I took Pinecrest Lake to do some sleddin'.
Well when we got up there, there wasn't that
much snow to sled in, but by looking at the
pictures we had fun anyways. |
