The '62 Fairlane - Back in the day, when credit was flowing and the cars I chose weren't the most reliable I decided to build a hot rod. Well one day Rob came to me and said he found a '62 Fairlane for me. It was sitting in a garage across town, had a straight body and could be had for $500. The motor ran, but it was old and tired, so after dumping some money into it, I got this out of it. The sad part is, it wasn't much of a daily daily drive, even though it was fun to drive, but I needed something more reliable, so I sold it to Rob and got myself my first new car, the '99 Ranger. Rob later sold it for the same reasons, but boy do I miss having a hot rod around.
1987 - A long time ago, after high school,
but before college, there was a time that nothing
really mattered, welcome to 1987!
A Weekend at Disneyland - Let's see, Barb's birthday is Sept. 25th, my birthday is Sept. 27, it doesn't take a rocket genius to decide you should do something big for both birthdays. Well, we decided to go to Disneyland for three days. We had lot's of fun, rode all the rides we wanted to ride, and ate really well. Oh, and did I mention we had lot's of fun, you can tell by the fact that there are only two photos in the album, that's all we, or at least a characters guide, took.
A Day at Marine World - A day at Marine World, I had never been, but the girls have been. I think my favorite part was riding the elephant, which of course I don't have a picture of, but there's other captured moments that take your breath away, o.k. maybe not, but if you're grandma, it'll be fun to look at anyway's.
Monterey, California with Barb and Girls - In attempt to escape the valley heat, Barb, the girls and I went to Monterey for a day. We spent a lot of time on the beach playing in the sand and the water, and lucky for us, the sunny part on the water was where we were (unfortunately I haven't located the pictures of the beach, but I have the rest, hmmm) we then spent some time at the Dennis the Menace Park so that girls could play, had lunch at Forrest Gump, and then drove 17 mile drive before heading home.
The Fourth of July, 2006 - This year I spent the fourth with Barb and the Girls, we started by going to the Modesto parade downtown where we bumped into Rob and the kids. We then went to her sisters' Chris, In Elk Grove, where the girls got to swim and play with their cousins. We did our own street fireworks and were finished just when the sun was going down. So on our drive home we got to see several different shows from our seats in the car. Philippines Trip, April 2004 - Man what a great adventure this was! Rob and I flew over to the Philippines to visit my brother Jim. We spent 10 days there island hoping, riding all kinds of different transportation, seeing a world you just don't know here in the states. I had a blast, and came home the most rested I have ever been. There's 100 photos to enjoy and talk about.
See life through dad's eyes - Raided Aunt Helen's photo albums, and this is what I ended up with.
Clay Center, KS - Lot's and lot's of pictures from the reunion. Hope you enjoy.
The Drive to and from Clay Center, KS - Here are a few pics from our drive to the family reunion and back. Not a lot of pictures considering we drove 3,648 miles!
Macro's - You have to love the macro photograph, it's like peeking into another world. For the last several years, we've had a macro contest at work between the employees, and here are some of my submission's. I did win two of the years, can you guess which ones?
Ice Storm - Here's just a couple of photos from an ice storm I went through during Christmas 2000, back in Arkansas. Literally a couple of photos.
Assorted Photos I Just Like - Name says it all, just photos from different places, Monterey, San Francisco, no subject, I just happend to like them. |
